How is it already the middle of July? The other day, I was walking through the Walmart in Montgomery, Texas and I noticed that the workers were moving the 4th of July decorations to the SALE aisle, and the school supplies were being stocked on the shelf.
The month of August approaches so quickly, and all the school festivities begin. For many parents of seniors, this might be a bitter-sweet feeling. The class of 2023 seniors start to bring home cap and gown pictures, yearbook forms, school supply lists, senior activities, and the list goes on and on.
Another question I'm sure you are thinking is "When/how/with whom do I schedule Senior Pictures?"

Senior pictures can happen at any time during your student's senior year! It just depends on what "vibe" your senior is wanting. When you book with me, you get a senior style guide, location guide, and ME- a friend to ask all your questions/concerns to! I am releasing my FALL availability on August 1st, but I wanted to let you in on one of my FAVORITE senior picture secrets- Sunrise Sessions.
3 Reasons I LOVE Sunrise Sessions
The Golden Glow
The Golden Glow
You may have heard of "Golden Hour." This can happen in the morning and in the evening when the sun is that perfect, golden hue of goodness. This lighting makes for the PERFECT pictures. Most photographers like to shoot in the evening when the sun is setting, but I truly believe the golden glow of a sunrise is so much more beautiful. It is soft, creamy, and warm.
When you book an evening session, you are racing the sun. You must time it perfectly so that you can achieve that golden glow-look. You must also make sure the sun doesn't set too quickly (or we will end up shooting in the dark). At a sunrise session, the sun is coming UP. Therefore, you get that golden glow for longer and then it STAYS light, so you have ample amount of time to keep shooting, changing outfits, and switching locations.
Most people are still sleeping when we are taking pictures, so the locations we choose are generally less crowded, which gives us the place to ourselves!
My style is warm, earthy, and authentic - and I LOVE capturing laughter. I would love to meet you and work with you!
